A Conversation With
Dr. Bradley Glodny
When I was young, my interest in and deep affection for science and math led me to pursue a career as a basic science researcher. However, after working in basic science research several years post college performing immunotherapy research, I realized I needed more consistent human interaction. I found that I am at my happiest when interacting with people daily and helping them in a meaningful way. What I find so fulfilling about medicine, particularly dermatology, is the unique role I can play in helping patients achieve their quality-of-life goals.
Our goal is to provide the absolute best care to our patients while providing them with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. All our employees work tirelessly to make patients feel comfortable and valued. Evidence of this is that we try and spend more time with our patients compared to other dermatology practices. By combining our personal approach to medicine with the state of the art technologies, the result is unparalleled care of the body and mind.
We also welcome everyone at Park Avenue Dermatology including any age, ethnicity, religion, shape, size, sexuality, social standing, etc. We can take care of your entire family and meaningfully connect with every age and generation.
Dr. Glodny employs a subtle yet impactful approach. His goal is to enhance his patient’s features, highlighting natural bone structure and appearance allowing for a more youthful yet subtle outcome. Dr. Glodny encourages his patients to bring in photos of themselves from when they were at their ideal age so that we can use them as a guide for optimal results. We want our patients to notice major differences in their appearance without feeling as if they look like a different person with different features. Your friends and family will think that you look fresh and well rested without realizing that you have had cosmetic work done. Most often Dr. Glodny achieves these types of results utilizing a multifaceted approach, using toxins, dermal fillers, lasers, medical-grade skincare, and skin-tightening technology.
Dr. Glodny also emphasizes the importance of prevention and maintenance. A consistent skincare routine that includes using sunscreen, practicing sun avoidance and following healthy lifestyle habits are necessary parts of the process when trying to look your very best.
I actually wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon for my entire training up until the last year of medical school. Thankfully, I found dermatology and fell in love.
I approach medicine and healing people as an “A to Z” type of thing. Mind and body are inextricably connected. I get involved with my patients and try to help in any way I can. Whether it’s skincare, a cosmetic procedure, or restaurant recommendations, I will bend over backwards to help.
Each time I help to heal a patient, I feel as though I have given them an invaluable gift of healthy skin and quality of life. There is no better feeling than giving someone a gift they truly appreciate.
Many, many methods when I think about the entire journey. I think one of my best qualities when I was in training was my ability to study and work long hours. I can focus for a long time without losing focus. Also, I think if you are goal oriented you will do well becoming a doctor. After each accomplishment, I would quickly focus on my next obstacle and spend only a short time enjoying my achievement.
As a new dad, I try and spend any time not working with my family. I go to the gym when I find time, but it is becoming more and more difficult. We also have 3 dogs who we love dearly. I also am a podcast fiend. I love information.
New York City gave me that ability to escape suburbia and see how diverse the world really was. You can be the happiest version of whoever you were born to be in New York. This sadly is not the case in many other parts of the world and even the country. As a gay man, this is precious to me.
Hard working, inquisitive and thankful.
In general I do not think I have the classic one mentor mentee type of relationship with someone. Instead I like to draw inspiration from my peers, friends, and family that have been able to achieve impressive feats. Being able to find inspiration from high achieving people and learning from them has been an invaluable party to my success. I am a firm believer in surrounding yourself with amazing people. They will motivate you to be the best that you can be.
I think as a practice we do our very best to make each and every patient feel like part of the Park Ave Derm family. We really try to get to know them on a level that I do not think many practices do. I love speaking to people and learning about their life story. I strive to know our patient’s lives and personalities as well as their skin.
