Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen—the most common protein in the body that is used to form a framework to support cells and tissue—for results that can last up to two years.
Why Sculptra?
Sculptra Addresses an Underlying Cause of Facial Aging, Not Just the Symptoms. Sculptra is Able to Harness the Power of Your Own Biology to Thicken Your Skin and Make Your Appearance More Youthful.
Not All Anti-aging Treatments Are the Same:
Collagen creams: Collagen creams do not fully penetrate to the dermis, so most topical treatments are effective as moisturizers that briefly improve the skin's appearance.
Collagen Supplements: When ingested, the digestive system breaks down collagen proteins and their effectiveness remains inconclusive.
Toxins: Toxins temporarily weaken muscles to minimize frown lines in the forehead. Results typically last a couple months.
Fillers: Works immediately upon injection to fill in lines, wrinkles and folds.
Sculptra: As a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen stimulator, Sculptra helps restore the deep, underlying structure of the skin to diminish facial wrinkles.
Sculptra works with your body within the deep dermis to help revitalize collagen production and help restore your skin’s inner structure and volume.1,2,4
As the Sculptra PLLA microparticles are absorbed, they help stimulate collagen production.1,2,4
Rebuilt collagen strands begin gradually helping to restore facial volume and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds.3
Sculptra and Men:
Sculptra is an especially helpful tool to keep our male patients looking their best. This is because Sculptra, or poly-L-lactic acid is best used in a way
which will not feminize male facial features. Therefore, after injection, our male patients are left looking more youthful while maintaining the masculine facial structure.
How It is Injected:
In most cases, Sculptra is injected once a month for 2-3 months. At about 6 months our patients will notice the maximum effect from these treatments. Since Sculptra lasts so long (2 years) compared to other types of volumizing injections, maintenance injections only need to be performed every 2-3 years.
