Botulinum Toxins

These agents (Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®) are commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of wrinkles. These agents are injected under the skin into the areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. Made from a purified protein, Botox® relaxes wrinkles and gives the face a rejuvenated look. Botox® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.

Microdermabrasion improves mild to moderate sun damage, scarring, wrinkles and other superficial skin problems. A gentle stream of tiny particles exfoliates the outer layer of skin and provides a fresh, glowing, younger appearance. The particles scrape away the surface layer of aging or damaged skin, which is then brushed off with the microdermabrasion vacuum tool with no need for anesthesia. Only a small amount of skin is removed, so sensitive areas such as the face, chest, neck, arms and hands can be treated. Results are comparable to a light chemical peel and should be immediately visible. Microdermabrasion is often performed in conjunction with other skin renewal procedures, such as laser treatment and chemical peels. Multiple treatments are recommended for full effect.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

These agents including Juvederm®, Voluma™, Restylane®, Perlane® and Belotero® are designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. It is a clear, synthetic gel made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. It carries little risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for treatment are the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth) and marionette lines below the mouth - with their unique ability to bind with water, these fillers are effective for many months, sometimes years.

Thermage is a quick, easy/inexpensive and non-invasive alternative to a face lift. Using radiofrequency energy, Thermage tightens loose and sagging skin to restore youthful vigor to patients' faces. Because Thermage leads to remodeling of a patients' own collagen, there is no foreign material to degrade, leading to results that can last for years. There is no downtime, we use the latest versions of both hardware and software to great advantage in therapeutic outcome and comfort.

They are injected deep into the skin to improve the appearance of sunken cheeks, hollow eyes, indentations and wrinkles. It's main component is an alpha hydroxy acid that has been used for years in surgical products such as dissolvable sutures. There is no need for allergy testing. The choice of which material is right for you will be made in the consultation. Sometimes more than one agent will be used for precisely the effect you desire.
